Bali Hotel is the most luxurious hotel in the 1930s. The hotel is located at Veteran Street, Denpasar which was built in the Dutch Colonial Era on August 22, 1927. This is the first hotel in Bali Island that serves the tourists spending their holiday in Bali at that time. In that decade, more than a hundred of foreign tourists come to Bali using Koninklijke Paketvaart Maatschappij steamship which is anchored in Buleleng.

In 1932, precisely on April, stars comedian, Charlie Chaplin is also came to Bali with his brother, Sidney. They want to enjoy the uniqueness and beauty of Balinese culture. In Bali Hotel they stayed for a week. Now this hotel is named Inna Bali Hotel. There are several world figures staying in this hotel, including the President of Republic Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno and the prime minister of India, Mahatma Gandhi.

3. Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel

This hotel is the luxury hotel located at Hang Tuah Street, Sanur, South Denpasar. Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel was inaugurated in 1966 with art features and Balinese culture. This hotel has 10 floors and the numbers of rooms are about 574 rooms. This is the highest hotel in Bali Island which was designed by the first president of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno. At that time, the president designing this hotel with the expectation as a tourism icon of Bali Island beginning grows again after the completion of the Second World War. Now, this hotel is equipped with luxurious facilities such as swimming pool, restaurant and beautiful gardens. To reach this hotel, it takes about 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International airport.

The uniqueness of Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel is a room that should not be rented out, namely the room number 327. Why this room can’t be occupied by guests? Because in 1993, Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel have suffered severe damage due to fire. All of the building and the rooms was burned, but there is one room which is still intact, namely the room of 327. This room is considered sacred and believed as sacred room of the president. The room of 327 isn’t rented as a form of homage to the designer, the president of Ir. Soekarno who has not had time to stay at this hotel.
