Kamasan Village, Tourism Village Full of Million Metal Artwork

Well Guys, Kamasan village is one of amazing tourist attraction that located in Klungkung District, Klungkung Regency, Bali. Kamasan Village is one of tourist destination in Klungkung Regency and very famous with silver handicraft, shell casings, gold handicrafts, and traditional puppets painting. As a tourism village region, Kamasan Village is consisting of Gelgel, Tojan, and Kamasan.

To reach this Kamasan tourist attraction, it takes the time approximately 90 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. It is about 45 kilometers from Denpasar City, while if you depart from Semarapura City, it is only 2 kilometers to the south.

As a village producing works of art, works of art from Kamasan artists is very detailed so it become an attraction and has own characteristic of the village itself. Works of art, such as pantings and carvings in Kamasan Village is describe about the puppet characters in the story of Mahabrata, Ramayana, Sutasoma, and Arjuna. Besides famous because of the carving art, Kamasan Village is also famous with its puppet painting which is usually used as an ornament on the fabric in the form of flag, umbul-umbul, ider-ider that complement the decor in sacred places such as temples and buildings in Kraton complex. This Kamasan Village experienced a golden peak at the time of Raja Dalem Waturenggong in 1460 to 1550.
