Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is a big water temple in Bali, the temple complex located end of Beratan lake in the mountains Candi kuning Village, Baturiti Region and Tabanan District, the distance from Denpasar to Bedugul approximately 56 km.

Ulun Danu Berantan temple is Located 1200 m above sea level, it has a cold tropical climate about 18-22 degrees celsius, and you will amaze because of the beautiful landscape and makes you feel comfortable.

The water temple also serve the entire region in the area and there are small temple near the specific to each irrigation. The Ulun Danu Beratan temple itself built in 1633 and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese rivers, or river goddess Dwi Danu.

Lake Beratan is known as the “Lake of Holy Mountain” due to the fertility of this area.

Ulun Danu Beratan consist of four temple, such as:

Lingga Petak Temple, Penataran Pucak Mangu, Terate Bang Temple and the last Dalem Purwa Temple which refers to worship Tri Murti (Bahma God, Wisnu God and Siwa God), Local people usually come to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple beg for grace of fertility, prosperity, well-being and for the balance of the universe.


Near Bedugul area itself has a lot of transportations, accommodations, restaurants and also souvenir shop, so you don’t need to be worry. Other than that, you also can go surround the lake by rent the boat from local people with your friend and family,then local people will bring you to surround the beautiful lake in Bedugul.
