The Lovely Nelayan Beach – North Of Kuta

Welcome to Bali Island everyone, if you visit Bali it means that you are agree to get ready for sunbathing and brave to touch the wave.  Nelayan beach located in Canggu, north of Kuta, Badung Regency. Nelayan Beach is located between canggu’s two other popular beaches, names Batu Bolong beach and Berawa Beach, Nelayan Beach in Bali is a 350 meters long stretch of black sand, nelayan beach is mainly a local fisherman’s landing coast, you can catch a view of the fisherman hauling in their wooden outriggers while unloading their early morning catches.

Nelayan beach also offer you a bit seclusion and this is a great spot for your quite sunsets. Two small river mouths border both ends of the beach. There are several luxury villas in the area offering cosy retreats just beyond the coconut groves, the likes of Tirtarum Villas and the Nelayan Villas.

There’s a lot of sand allowing you to freely roam or laze about while enjoying the open seascapes. However, the waves at Nelayan Beach don’t offer much for surfers, who would instead paddle out to neighbouring Batu Bolong with its long rights and lava-rock reefs. Parasols-for-rent and vendors peddling cold Bintangs are also scarce here compared to the adjacent beaches. Expect a bit of debris during the monsoonal months, between December and February.


To get here, just follow down the namesake Jalan Nelayan road that branches off from Jalan Batu Bolong then you can see the black sandy waiting for you to lay down. Even thought their no seller food or drink but you can bring your own drink and food there, and remember do not throw the rubbish everywhere. It’s a great place for you to wait the sunset together with your friend, with all kinds of colors that are worn by the salty waters does have their own spell. Catch a sunset here and put it in your pocket.
